Loudoun sets Aug. 10 opening for inaugural arts and culture grants

Loudoun County’s inaugural Arts and Culture Grant Program is scheduled to accept applications from August 10 through September 22, 2026. The county lists a noon Eastern deadline on September 22 and a grant period running from January 1 through June 30, 2027.

The program will provide programming and operational funding to qualifying organizations based in Loudoun County. Individual awards will range from $5,000 to $15,000, no matching contribution is required and the county says a total of $250,000 will be distributed.

Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations recognized under section 501(c)(3), units of local government, federally recognized tribes or tribal communities and applicants working through a fiscal sponsor or agent. Individuals are not eligible, and the county limits each applicant to one application.

The funded work must support the county’s Comprehensive Arts Plan. Loudoun says applicants may seek support for projects at stages ranging from planning through implementation and that the program covers a range of performing, visual and literary arts disciplines.

Applications will be submitted through Euna, Loudoun’s grant-management platform. The county’s application outline includes opportunity details, applicant information, work samples and uploaded documents. At least one work sample is required, with no more than three files permitted. Required documentation includes financial records and evidence related to nonprofit status and standing with the Virginia State Corporation Commission.

The county says applicants must answer all required questions to be considered for funding. Organizations preparing to apply should use the final program guidelines and application materials rather than rely only on a summary. They should also verify the platform requirements, required documents and any workshop information posted before the application window opens.

This opportunity is limited to the entity types and activities identified by Loudoun County. It is not a general small-business grant and does not make individuals eligible for direct funding.
